1. Set the geographic boundary before reading the numbers
A location report can become misleading when a firm treats North Valley Stream, Nassau County and the wider New York market as interchangeable. They are not the same reporting scope. North Valley Stream is a CDP recorded within Nassau County; the Census estimate applies to that CDP, not to every household or individual in the county and not to the entire state. A dashboard review should therefore make geography explicit wherever a ranking, call, lead or matter is discussed.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how location fields would be defined for your firm’s decisions. Decide whether a question concerns North Valley Stream specifically, Nassau County more broadly, or another service area. Keep those scopes separate in internal reviews so a county result is not presented as a North Valley Stream result. The consultation can also clarify which geographic labels are available for the proposed reporting approach.
