1. Start with the unanswered-call path, not a population assumption
North Sea is a census-designated place in Suffolk County, New York. The Census record gives a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 6,458, with a margin of error of 1,450. It does not establish how many people call a law firm, which matters they have, when they call or whether your firm needs additional coverage. Your review should therefore begin with your own call history and phone configuration. Identify what happens when the front desk is busy, a caller reaches the office outside its normal hours, or a team member cannot answer. Bosseo’s public AI Answering page describes a team-first model: calls ring your people first, and the AI steps in when nobody answers within 20 seconds.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to review the unanswered-call rule for the geographic area you serve, including North Sea and any other locations your firm actually handles. Decide which calls should be covered, who owns the callback, and what event should trigger escalation. Do not treat the North Sea population estimate as a forecast of missed calls or new matters.
