1. Replace “How did you hear about us?” with a journey record
A client may remember only the last step before contacting your firm. Bosseo’s public Lead Attribution page describes records that can include channel, referrer, landing page, device, session detail, intake answers, and calls. That gives you a more useful question than whether someone vaguely recalls Google or a referral: what sequence preceded the inquiry, and what information did the person provide? For Mastic Beach, review the geographic label separately from the source path. A Mastic Beach inquiry is not automatically a Suffolk County-wide opportunity, and a Suffolk County inquiry is not automatically a Mastic Beach inquiry.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic location is represented alongside the source journey, how your team distinguishes a service area from a client’s actual location, and which intake fields can be reviewed with attribution. Do not use the Census population estimate as a forecast of inquiries.
