1. Start with the correct geographic definition
The U.S. Census Bureau records Liberty as a municipal town in Sullivan County, New York. Its 2020–2024 ACS 5-year population estimate is 10,358, with a margin of error of 23. That is population context, not proof of legal demand, competition, search volume, leads, cases or revenue. The dashboard conversation should therefore distinguish Liberty town from Sullivan County and from any broader service territory your firm chooses to track. A label such as “Liberty” should not silently stand for every call from the county or every matter handled in New York.
Recommended approach
Before reviewing any report, write down the geographic definitions you want to compare: Liberty town, Sullivan County, another explicitly selected area, or New York statewide coverage. Ask how those labels would appear beside rankings, calls and leads. Do not approve a dashboard until a partner can tell whether a result belongs to a place, a service area or an unclassified source.
