1. Set the geographic boundary before reading the numbers
Hudson Falls village and Washington County are different geographic levels. The Census record identifies Hudson Falls as a municipality and places it in Washington County; its population estimate applies to the village, not automatically to the county, New York as a whole or every community your firm serves. That distinction matters when a dashboard displays city, county, state or service-area information. A ranking or lead associated with Hudson Falls should not be treated as evidence about Washington County, and a county-level result should not be presented as a village-level result.
Recommended approach
Before implementation, write down the locations that belong in each report view and the geographic label that should appear beside every metric. Ask Bosseo to show how city data, case-type data and source data would be distinguished. Treat the Hudson Falls population as context for geographic scope only, not as a forecast of calls, matters or revenue.
