Set the geographic boundary before asking for reviews
Hanover’s official geographic relationship is specific: it is a town in Chautauqua County, New York. A firm may serve Hanover, other parts of Chautauqua County, or a broader New York territory, but those are different claims and should not be blended. A review strategy should therefore begin with the places the firm actually serves, the locations represented on its Google Business Profile, and the geographic language clients see when they evaluate the firm. Population is not a substitute for this review. The Census estimate of 6,882 can identify the town’s population context, but it cannot show how many people need legal services or how many will leave reviews.
Recommended approach
Use the consultation to map the firm’s real service area and decide whether review requests should be discussed in relation to Hanover, Chautauqua County, or a wider New York footprint. Keep public language accurate and avoid implying that a review count proves local demand.
