1. Start with your real unanswered-call pattern
The Census records Glenville as a municipal town in Schenectady County, but population cannot tell you how many people call your firm, when they call or why they call. For this product, your own phone records matter more. Review unanswered calls, voicemail messages, transfers, busy periods and calls received outside office hours. Separate calls from Glenville from calls involving other parts of Schenectady County, New York and any broader service area you intentionally serve. The goal is not to turn a population estimate into a demand forecast. It is to identify which response paths you need to design.
Recommended approach
Bring a defined review period and categorize calls by answered, unanswered, after-hours, overflow, current-client and potential-new-client status. Decide which gaps justify a backstop before discussing configuration.
