1. Start with the geography your firm actually serves
Bosseo’s public product page allows a footprint to be scoped statewide or to selected counties. For a Garden City firm, the first geographic distinction is clear: Garden City is a village in Nassau County, New York. A Garden City page and a Nassau County coverage plan are not the same thing. One addresses a municipality; the other defines a county-level service territory. The Census population estimate for Garden City does not establish that residents are searching for lawyers, that particular legal services are needed, or that competitors are strong or weak.
Recommended approach
Decide whether Garden City is a priority location within a Nassau County plan or whether the firm intends to serve a broader New York footprint. Document the cities and counties the firm is prepared to serve, and exclude locations that would create an inaccurate impression about offices, courts, service availability or attorney coverage.
