1. Start with the site and the exact service boundary
Hosting decisions become difficult when “the website” means different things to different people. Your firm may need to distinguish the public site from the domain registration, DNS, email records, analytics, forms, databases, third-party services and any internal tools. Bosseo’s public page says its migration work can cover files, databases, DNS, SSL and email records, and that it can host an existing site. Those statements describe the stated scope; they do not remove the need to map your particular environment.
Recommended approach
Ask for a current-state review covering the site platform, hosting account, domain registrar, DNS provider, email records, administrator access and any service that depends on the website. Have Bosseo identify what it would manage, what would remain with another provider and what your firm would retain. Treat East Hills and Nassau County as service geography for the firm, not as a reason to assume a technical requirement or a level of online demand.
