1. Start with Dover’s exact service area, not a generic audience
Your firm may serve Dover town, the wider Dutchess County area, or a broader New York market. Those are different geographic scopes. The Census record identifies Dover as a municipal town in Dutchess County; it does not show where website visitors come from or which matters your firm should accept. That distinction affects the intake questions you choose. A location question may be useful when your acceptance rules depend on county, court, incident location or another jurisdictional boundary. It should not be added merely because a town has a recorded population.
Recommended approach
Before reviewing a Video Intake flow, write down the locations and matter types your firm actually handles. Then decide whether location belongs near the beginning of the survey, later as a qualification question, or only in staff review. Keep the path focused on information that changes the next action.
