Start with the geography your firm actually serves
Champlain is a municipal town in Clinton County, New York. The 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate for the town is 5,667, with a margin of error of 37. That is geographic context, not evidence of search demand, legal need, competition or lead volume. It should not be used to set a marketing target or assume how many people will contact your office. Attribution gives you a more appropriate way to examine the market: review which recorded journeys originate from people seeking the services your firm accepts, regardless of whether the first interaction began on a service page, another referral path or a later return visit.
Recommended approach
Define the geographic area your firm serves before reviewing performance. Keep Champlain, Clinton County and any broader New York service area as separate reporting dimensions. Decide whether a location label describes the person’s location, the page they visited or the matter’s service area; do not treat those as interchangeable.
