1. Start with Carmel service boundaries, not population assumptions
Carmel CDP is a defined census place in Putnam County, New York. A firm may serve people beyond the CDP, or it may use Carmel as one part of a broader service area. The local population estimate is useful for identifying the geographic context, but it cannot tell you how many people call, which practice areas they need, whether callers prefer a particular language, or whether your team needs more coverage. Intake Coach is therefore best evaluated against your actual intake conversations and the geographic rules your firm uses when deciding whether to proceed.
Recommended approach
Before reviewing calls, write down how your firm defines a serviceable matter: location, jurisdiction, practice area, urgency, conflicts, and consultation eligibility. Use those rules to distinguish a valid qualification issue from a coaching issue. Do not treat Carmel’s population as a substitute for call records or staffing evidence.
