1. Start with the geographic boundary
A Blauvelt report should not silently treat the CDP as the same thing as Rockland County, the New York metropolitan area or the whole state. Those are different geographic relationships. Your firm may serve people in Blauvelt while also targeting other places in Rockland County or elsewhere in New York. The dashboard should therefore make the geographic scope explicit rather than turning one place name into a proxy for demand. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page describes city data, keyword rankings and source attribution as part of its reporting concept. That makes geographic definitions an important acceptance question: which locations are being measured, and how are they attached to calls, forms or matters?
Recommended approach
At the consultation, ask for a written geographic definition for every report or target. Treat the Blauvelt population estimate as context only. Decide whether your internal review needs separate views for Blauvelt, Rockland County, other New York locations and broader service areas.
