1. Start with the Beacon service area, not a guessed workload
Beacon city is recorded in Dutchess County, New York. That relationship helps define the geographic boundary for an intake review, but the Census population estimate does not tell you how many people contact your firm, what matters they have, or whether your team needs additional coverage. A sound automation decision therefore separates location from demand. Review the locations your website, calls and other inquiry channels actually serve. Then decide whether Beacon inquiries should follow the same rules as inquiries from elsewhere in Dutchess County or from other areas your firm serves.
Recommended approach
Bring a defined service-area question to the consultation: which geographic information should be captured, who should review it, and does it affect routing, qualification or follow-up? Do not use Beacon’s population as a substitute for your own intake records.
