1. Separate Bayport service coverage from Bayport assumptions
Bayport CDP is recorded in Suffolk County. Its ACS population estimate is useful as geographic context, but it cannot tell you how many people need a lawyer, which practice areas they need, or whether a particular marketing channel will produce inquiries. Attribution should therefore preserve the location and matter-type information your firm actually receives instead of treating population as a forecast. Review whether your records distinguish Bayport from the rest of Suffolk County and from any broader New York service area you target. Also decide whether “Bayport” is an intake location, a landing-page location, a caller’s stated location, or a geographic label used for reporting. Those are different fields and should not be silently combined.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to review the geographic fields available in your inquiry records and agree on a reporting definition for Bayport, Suffolk County and any wider service area. Do not use the ACS population figure as a lead or revenue target.
