1. Start with an agreed definition of ROI
A dashboard cannot answer whether marketing is working until the firm agrees on what “working” means. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page says the product connects rankings, calls, leads, case types, matters, and revenue signals. It also describes lead classifications such as Potential New Client, Current Client, and Other. Those labels matter because a call count alone may include people who are not prospective clients. For an Attica firm, define the geographic question separately from the town’s population record: do you want to assess matters originating in Attica, the rest of Wyoming County, or a broader New York service area? Those are different scopes. The dashboard should not be treated as proof that any one area produces clients until the firm establishes its definitions and reviews its own data.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to document each ROI field, its inclusion rules, its geographic scope, and the point at which a lead becomes a matter or revenue record. Approve a short written measurement dictionary before using dashboard figures in budget or staffing decisions.
