1. Start with the correct Albion geography
Albion town and Orleans County are not interchangeable labels. A firm may serve people in Albion, elsewhere in Orleans County, or in additional New York markets. The Census record identifies Albion as a municipal town in Orleans County and estimates its population at 7,206 for 2020–2024, with a margin of error of 19. That is useful context for naming the market being reviewed, but it cannot show how many people need legal help or how many searches become matters. In a dashboard review, geographic scope should therefore be an explicit field rather than an assumption. Ask whether a view distinguishes Albion from countywide activity and from any broader service area your firm chooses to evaluate.
Recommended approach
Bring a written list of the places your firm wants to review. Decide whether each measure should be labelled Albion, Orleans County, New York, or another defined service area. Do not treat town population as a marketing forecast.
