1. Choose a footprint that matches your practice
Bosseo says its Programmatic SEO engine can be scoped to a whole state or only the counties a firm chooses. Raton is a city in Colfax County, so a firm serving Raton should decide whether its real service area is Raton alone, Colfax County, additional New Mexico counties, or the state. Those are different geographic decisions. A page naming Raton should not imply that the firm serves every New Mexico community unless the firm has chosen that broader territory. The Census record confirms the city–county relationship; it does not show where prospective clients search or where the firm should accept matters.
Recommended approach
Before considering page coverage, write down the locations the firm is authorized and prepared to serve. Ask Bosseo to show how a Raton-and-Colfax County footprint would differ from a statewide footprint, and identify which locations would be excluded. Treat expansion as a business decision, not as a conclusion drawn from the city’s population.
