1. Keep Española geography separate from intake assumptions
The Census record identifies Española city as a municipality in New Mexico and records relationships with Rio Arriba County and Santa Fe County. A firm may serve the city, one county, both counties, or a wider New Mexico territory, but those are different scopes. The population estimate is eligibility evidence only. It cannot tell you how many people call a law firm, which practice areas generate inquiries, whether callers need an interpreter, or whether your team needs more coverage. Intake Coach should therefore be evaluated against your own call records and service boundaries. Decide which callers belong in the review population: calls from Española, calls from either listed county, or all calls handled by the firm. That choice affects ownership, escalation, follow-up, and measurement.
Recommended approach
Write down the geographic scope your firm actually serves before reviewing performance. Do not convert the Española population figure into a forecast. Instead, ask whether the same intake standard should apply across city, county, and statewide inquiries, and identify any jurisdictional distinction that should change escalation.
