1. Start with the geography your firm actually serves
Bosseo’s public Legal News description says its system monitors local and national legal-news sources for a firm’s state and matches stories to practice areas. For a Westwood firm, that makes geographic scope an implementation question. Westwood is in Bergen County, but a firm may serve only Westwood, the wider county, other New Jersey communities, or a broader area. A page about a New Jersey legal development may be useful to a Bergen County reader, while a story outside the firm’s service area may not belong on the site. The Census population estimate identifies the municipality and its county relationship; it does not tell you which geographic areas generate qualified inquiries.
Recommended approach
Define the service geography before reviewing examples. Separate Westwood, Bergen County, New Jersey and any metropolitan coverage in your intake and reporting decisions. Ask which locations should qualify a story, which should be excluded, and how an inquiry from outside the preferred area will be classified.
