Use Stafford’s geography to define the intake review
Stafford is a municipal-town in Ocean County. Your intake boundary may be narrower or broader than the township: a firm may serve Stafford residents, other Ocean County communities, or clients across New Jersey. Those are different service decisions, so the review should identify the geographic facts that matter inside each conversation—where an incident occurred, where a court matter is pending, where a deadline applies, or whether the caller is seeking counsel within the firm’s actual service area. The Census population estimate provides context for the municipality only; it does not show how many people call a law office or what matters they need.
Recommended approach
During a consultation, define which geographic questions belong in qualification and which callers should be referred, escalated, or followed up. Review whether staff consistently confirm jurisdiction, venue, deadlines, and the caller’s requested next step. Do not use Stafford’s population as a forecast of intake volume.
