1. Start with the right geographic boundary
Your firm may serve Ridgewood, Bergen County, other parts of New Jersey or a narrower territory. Those are different editorial choices. The Census record identifies Ridgewood as a municipality in Bergen County; it does not establish that residents are searching for a particular legal service or that a breaking story will produce a case. Bosseo’s public Legal News description says its monitoring is organized around a firm’s state and practice areas. That makes geographic scope a central evaluation question: would the firm comment on New Jersey developments statewide, Bergen County events, or only matters with a direct Ridgewood connection?
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic relevance would be reviewed before approval. Define which locations may appear in a page, which locations belong in the call to action and when a statewide story is sufficiently relevant to a Ridgewood practice. Keep municipality, county, metropolitan area and state references distinct in the firm’s editorial policy.
