1. Define the geographic lens before approving a story
A Ramsey firm may serve people in the borough, elsewhere in Bergen County, or across New Jersey. Those are different audiences. The Census record identifies Ramsey borough as a municipality in Bergen County; it does not say that every resident is a prospective client or that a countywide event is locally relevant. Bosseo’s public Legal News page says its system matches stories to a firm’s practice areas and state, and describes monitoring local and national sources for the firm’s state. That makes geographic review a central buying question. A page about a New Jersey statute may be relevant statewide, while a story involving a road, court, agency or municipality may need careful wording before it is presented as relevant to Ramsey.
Recommended approach
Write a geographic policy before using the service. Decide when a page should say Ramsey, Bergen County, New Jersey, or a broader place; require the copy to distinguish a reported location from the area your firm serves; and remove local framing that the underlying story does not support.
