1. Start with the exact Piscataway service area
A Piscataway campaign should begin with geography, not population. The Census record identifies Piscataway township as part of Middlesex County, so your review should distinguish the township from the wider county and from any other New Jersey locations your firm serves. A service area that is too broad may attract inquiries your office cannot handle or cases outside your preferred practice scope. A service area that is too narrow may omit locations your firm intentionally covers. Google’s public Local Services Ads description says categories and service areas can be set deliberately. That makes geographic coverage a decision to document and test, not a conclusion to derive from the township’s resident count.
Recommended approach
Bring your current service-area policy, preferred municipalities and excluded locations to the consultation. Decide which locations should be eligible, which should be reviewed separately, and how an out-of-area inquiry will be classified. Keep Piscataway, Middlesex County and New Jersey as distinct geographic labels in intake records.
