1. Start with the geographic question your records can answer
A Paramus inquiry may be relevant to a firm serving Paramus alone, Bergen County, or a wider New Jersey or metropolitan service area. Those are different reporting boundaries. The Census record identifies Paramus borough as a municipality in Bergen County; it does not establish how many people seek counsel, which practice areas they need, or whether a particular channel performs well. Lead Attribution can be evaluated against the geographic distinctions your firm already uses in intake: the caller’s stated location, the service area accepted by the firm, the landing page visited, and the matter outcome. The useful question is not whether Paramus is large enough to justify a conclusion. It is whether your records can distinguish a Paramus matter from a Bergen County matter and from an inquiry outside your intended scope.
Recommended approach
Before reviewing channel performance, define the geographic fields and service-area rules you want attached to an inquiry. Keep Paramus, Bergen County, New Jersey and any broader market labels separate. Do not use population as a proxy for demand or staffing.
