Start with the service area, not a population assumption
The U.S. Census Bureau records Neptune township as a municipal-town in Monmouth County, New Jersey, with a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 28,265 and a margin of error of 52. That is geographic context only. It does not establish legal demand, review volume, competition, search behavior, or likely revenue. A reputation review should therefore ask which communities and county relationships the firm actually serves. A Neptune firm may want to be understood locally, across Monmouth County, or in a wider New Jersey service area. Those are different decisions.
Recommended approach
Map the firm’s intended coverage before evaluating review performance. Separate Neptune township from Monmouth County and from any broader New Jersey audience in the consultation, profile review, reporting, and future measurement. Do not use the population estimate as a forecast of inquiries.
