1. Define the Jersey City service boundary before writing questions
Your firm may serve Jersey City, the rest of Hudson County or a wider New Jersey market. Those are different geographic decisions. The Census record identifies Jersey City as a municipality in Hudson County; it does not say where your clients come from or which matters you accept. A Video Intake flow should therefore avoid treating a Jersey City visitor as automatically eligible. Ask only the location questions that affect your review, such as where the incident occurred, where a party lives or whether the firm handles the matter in the relevant jurisdiction. Keep service-area screening separate from population claims.
Recommended approach
Write a location branch that reflects your actual intake policy. Decide which answers require human review, which answers indicate that the matter is outside scope and whether an out-of-area visitor receives a different next step. Review the wording with the attorney responsible for intake before publishing it.
