1. Set the geographic footprint around the firm’s actual service area
Bosseo describes two broad geographic choices: coverage across a state or a tighter footprint limited to selected counties. Jersey City is in Hudson County, so a firm serving Jersey City should first decide whether Hudson County reflects its operating area. A county relationship does not prove that every municipality in the county is relevant to the firm, and Jersey City’s population estimate does not justify statewide coverage by itself.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to model a Hudson County footprint separately from any broader New Jersey option. Review each proposed municipality against the firm’s intake policy, court-service area, advertising rules and willingness to handle matters there. Expand only when the firm can support the additional locations with accurate service information and responsive intake.
