1. Define the Irvington measurement boundary before comparing results
Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page describes keyword rankings, Top 3 and Top 10 counts, SERP features, AI-engine citations, calls, leads and case-type reporting. It also describes city data and service-and-city targets. For your firm, “Irvington” should be treated as the municipal geography it names, not as a substitute for Essex County, the wider New Jersey market or an undefined metropolitan area. Those geographic labels answer different questions. Decide which locations belong in each report before using a ranking or lead count to guide spending. The Census record identifies Irvington township as a municipal-town in Essex County; it does not show where prospective clients search or retain counsel.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to demonstrate the geographic labels attached to rankings, pages, calls and leads. Record whether each metric is Irvington-specific, Essex County-wide, statewide or another defined area. Do not approve a comparison until the geography and time period are visible beside the number.
