Use Elizabeth’s geography to define the intake scope
Your firm may serve Elizabeth city, other parts of Union County, or a wider New Jersey market. Those are different operating scopes. The Census identifies Elizabeth as a municipality in Union County; it does not show where callers originate, what matters they seek or how many calls your firm receives. Intake Coach therefore should not be configured around population alone. The useful question is which service areas, matter types and caller situations your team actually handles. A conversation may require an attorney callback, a consultation, additional documents or a decision that the matter is outside your practice. Those distinctions should be visible in the firm’s review criteria.
Recommended approach
At a consultation, define the geographic and matter boundaries you want to examine. Separate Elizabeth calls from broader Union County or New Jersey conversations only if that distinction helps ownership, follow-up or reporting. Treat the Census population as eligibility context, not as a forecast.
