1. Define the geography before judging a lead source
A firm may use “Burlington” to mean Burlington city, Burlington County, or a broader service area. Those are not interchangeable. The Census record identifies Burlington city as a municipality in Burlington County; it does not describe every household or individual the firm may serve. Attribution should therefore preserve the geographic information actually collected rather than turning one location label into a demand claim. Review whether your intake records distinguish the person’s stated location, the matter’s relevant location, and the service area your firm is prepared to handle. Then decide whether reporting should separate Burlington city from other Burlington County locations. This keeps a population figure in its proper role: geographic context, not proof that a channel produces cases.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to review the geographic fields attached to inquiries and the way those fields can be compared with channel, landing page, case type, consultation, and signed-case outcome. Do not use the city’s population estimate as a proxy for lead opportunity.
