1. Define the geography before you read the numbers
Allendale and Bergen County are not interchangeable labels. The Census identifies Allendale borough as a municipality in Bergen County and records 6,865 residents in the 2020–2024 ACS 5-year estimate. That is useful for naming the market under review, but it cannot prove that a particular practice area has demand or that a marketing channel produces cases. A sound dashboard conversation should therefore ask whether a report separates Allendale, Bergen County and any wider New Jersey coverage your firm intentionally serves. It should also avoid treating households, individuals and municipalities as the same unit. The Bosseo page describes city and case-type data, including questions about which cities produce calls. Confirm the geographic definitions that would apply to your account rather than assuming that a place name answers the question.
Recommended approach
At the consultation, write down each geography you want to evaluate and require a plain-language definition for each one. Keep Allendale borough as its own local reference, Bergen County as its county relationship, and any broader service area as a separate decision. Do not use the Census population estimate as a forecast.
