1. Define the geography before you judge performance
A Peterborough law firm may serve Peterborough town, other parts of Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, or a combination of those areas. Those are different reporting scopes. The Census record identifies Peterborough as a municipal town in Hillsborough County and records the population estimate for the town—not for the county or the whole state. The dashboard page says rankings can be tracked for service-and-city targets and that leads can be viewed by city. That makes geographic definitions an important part of evaluation. A report that combines Peterborough with a wider service area may answer a different question from a report limited to the town.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how a service area would be named, separated and reviewed. Decide whether each target should be Peterborough, Hillsborough County, another municipality, New Hampshire, or a clearly defined combination. Do not treat the town’s population as a forecast of matters. Treat it as a boundary-setting fact when you decide what the dashboard should distinguish.
