1. Start with the geographic question, not the population number
A Litchfield office may serve people in the town, throughout Hillsborough County, across New Hampshire, or in a more limited practice-area territory. Those are different audiences. The Census identifies Litchfield as a municipal town in Hillsborough County; it does not establish where your clients come from or which news topics matter to them. Legal News should therefore be reviewed against your actual service area. A statewide legal development may be relevant to a New Hampshire practice, while an incident tied to another part of the state may be outside your intake territory. A page about Litchfield should not imply coverage of all of Hillsborough County, and a Hillsborough County page should not be presented as a Litchfield-specific service.
Recommended approach
Before booking, define the geographic boundaries you want reviewed: Litchfield only, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, or another clearly stated area. Ask how proposed stories would be matched to those boundaries and your practice areas. Treat population as eligibility context only, not as a forecast.
