Start with the firm’s actual bottleneck
Custom Software is most defensible when a recurring process does not fit the tools you already use. Bosseo’s public description gives examples such as client status portals, intake tools, internal dashboards and referral trackers. For an Atkinson firm, the relevant question is not how many people live in the town. The relevant question is where your own team loses time or control: perhaps staff re-enter information, answer status questions manually or keep a critical tracker outside the systems that contain the underlying matter information. Those are possibilities to investigate, not assumptions about your practice.
Recommended approach
Bring one plainly stated problem to the consultation. Describe who performs it, what information they handle, where the process pauses and what a satisfactory result would look like. If an existing product already solves the problem without material workarounds, custom development may not be the appropriate choice.
