1. Define the geography before reading the numbers
A local dashboard can become misleading when city, county, household and individual measures are treated as interchangeable. Alliance city is recorded in Box Butte County, and the city’s ACS estimate is 8,075 people for 2020–2024. That is useful context for naming the market being discussed, but it is not a forecast of people searching for a lawyer or a measure of the firm’s opportunity. If your practice serves clients beyond Alliance, the dashboard conversation should distinguish Alliance from Box Butte County and from any other Nebraska geography you intentionally track. The question is not simply whether a location appears in a report. It is whether every location label matches the decision you want to make.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how city, county, state and practice-area dimensions would be defined for your firm. Confirm which geographic labels belong in rankings, calls, forms, attribution and case-type views. Keep Alliance and Box Butte County separate unless your firm deliberately chooses to combine them for a stated reason.
