Start with the geography your firm actually serves
The Census records Perryville as a municipality in Perry County, Missouri, with a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 8,536 and a margin of error of 22. That is population context, not proof of legal demand, search volume, competition, calls or revenue. It does, however, give you a precise starting boundary for dashboard definitions. Ask whether “Perryville” means the city, Perry County, another service area, or a combination. A city target and a county target should not be treated as interchangeable reporting dimensions.
Recommended approach
During the review, require a written geographic definition for every location field. Decide whether city and county should appear separately, how a caller’s location will be recorded, and whether a matter outside Perry County remains relevant to your firm. The dashboard should help you inspect the scope of the data rather than encourage conclusions that the Census record cannot support.
