1. Start with the Murphy service area, not a population assumption
Murphy is a census-designated place in Jefferson County. The Census estimate gives the place a defined geographic reference, but it does not tell you how many prospective clients will contact your firm, where they will come from, or which matters they may ask about. A firm may serve Murphy residents, people elsewhere in Jefferson County, or a broader Missouri area; those are different operating choices. Automation should reflect the area your firm actually serves rather than treating the CDP population as a forecast. Review whether an inquiry should be accepted, referred, screened for location, or routed to a particular team member. Also decide whether service-area information should be recorded as an intake answer, a routing condition, or simply a human review point.
Recommended approach
Bring a current service-area definition to the consultation. Ask Bosseo to map how location is captured, where that information should be stored, and what should happen when an inquiry falls outside your practice area. Do not approve geographic routing until your firm has set the relevant boundaries.
