1. Define the geographic record before you judge performance
Your firm may describe its service area as Jefferson City, Callaway County, Cole County, Missouri or a combination of those areas. Those labels are not interchangeable. Jefferson City is recorded as a municipality, while Callaway County and Cole County are county relationships in the Census record. A population estimate for the city does not establish how many people seek legal help, how many cases a firm accepts or how many inquiries originate in either county. It also does not establish language preferences or the need for additional intake coverage. Lead Attribution is most useful when the firm first decides which geographic distinctions matter in its own records. A Jefferson City inquiry and a county-level inquiry may require different review questions, even when both arrive through the same website.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geography is represented in the lead journey and intake record, then decide which geographic labels your team will use consistently. Review city and county references as separate reporting questions rather than treating the city population as a forecast. Keep the decision tied to actual inquiries, accepted matters and signed cases.
