1. Start with the calls your team cannot reliably answer
Bosseo’s public AI Answering page describes a team-first routing model: calls go to your people first, and the AI answers when nobody picks up within 20 seconds. It also describes coverage for nights, weekends, holidays and overflow, plus handling for up to 20 simultaneous calls. Those are product capabilities stated by Bosseo; they are not evidence that your firm has a particular level of missed-call volume. Jefferson City’s recorded population covers the municipality and its relationship to Callaway County and Cole County, but it cannot establish how many callers contact your office or when they call. Review your own phone records, voicemail history and staff availability before deciding whether after-hours, overflow or simultaneous-call coverage matters.
Recommended approach
Bring a representative period of call records to the consultation. Separate unanswered calls caused by closed hours, staff already on another call, lunch periods, holidays and intentional screening. Then decide whether AI should act as an after-hours service, an overflow safety net, or both.
