1. Set the geographic boundary before choosing stories
The Census record identifies Fort Leonard Wood as a census-designated place in Pulaski County, Missouri. That distinction matters when you decide which stories are locally relevant. A page about an event in the Fort Leonard Wood CDP is not automatically a page about every community in Pulaski County, and a statewide Missouri development is not automatically local to Fort Leonard Wood. Bosseo’s public Legal News description says stories are matched to a firm’s practice areas and state. Your firm should therefore decide whether its intended coverage is Fort Leonard Wood, Pulaski County, a broader Missouri service area, or a combination of those areas.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo how geographic relevance would be handled for your actual service area. Review proposed topics for the place named in the story, the jurisdiction of the legal issue and the people your firm is permitted and prepared to serve. Do not use the CDP population estimate as a forecast of demand.
