Define the geography before judging the numbers
A dashboard can only answer a geographic question that the firm has defined. Festus city and Jefferson County are not interchangeable labels, and neither should be treated as a proxy for the entire Missouri market. The Census record identifies Festus as a municipality and records its county relationship as Jefferson County. It does not establish where prospective clients search, call from or retain counsel. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page says its reporting can include city data and asks which cities produce clients. That makes geographic definitions a practical starting point for the consultation, not an invitation to assume that every county contact came from Festus.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how the proposed reporting would distinguish Festus from Jefferson County and any broader Missouri service area. Decide whether the firm needs separate views for the city, county and other areas it intentionally serves. Record the geographic rule beside each metric so a partner does not mistake a county total for Festus performance.
