1. Start with the service area you can actually serve
The relevant local relationship is specific: Columbia is a Missouri municipality recorded in Boone County. That does not mean a campaign should automatically cover every household or community in the county. Your firm may accept matters only in Columbia, may serve selected Boone County locations, or may have a broader Missouri practice. Those are different geographic choices and should not be treated as interchangeable. Bosseo’s public Local Services Ads description identifies category and geography targeting as part of the program. That makes service-area definition an implementation question, not a demographic assumption.
Recommended approach
Bring a current list of office coverage, consultation locations, courts or venues you serve, and locations you do not accept. Ask Bosseo how the proposed service zones would be represented, reviewed, and adjusted. Keep the first evaluation tied to the firm’s actual capacity rather than using Columbia’s population as a proxy for demand.
