1. Start with the unanswered-call path, not a population assumption
The Census record identifies Southaven city as a municipality in DeSoto County and reports a 2020–2024 ACS 5-year population estimate of 56,226. That does not tell you how many people call your office, when they call, or whether an unanswered caller is a prospective client, an existing client or another contact. Your decision should therefore begin with your own phone records and operating rules. Review unanswered calls by time, destination, disposition and callback outcome. Separate after-hours calls from busy-line overflow, lunch coverage, holidays and calls that your team intentionally declines. Bosseo describes AI Answering as a backstop: calls go to the team first, and the AI steps in when nobody answers within 20 seconds.
Recommended approach
Bring a recent call record or a clearly defined review period to the consultation. Decide which unanswered paths deserve coverage and which should remain outside the service. Do not use Southaven’s population as a forecast for calls or signed matters.
