1. Define the geography before you interpret the numbers
A location label can hide an important measurement question. Waite Park is a city in Stearns County; it is not interchangeable with the county, a wider metropolitan area, Minnesota as a whole, or the households and individuals within the city. The Census population estimate identifies the municipality and its county relationship, but it does not establish that residents are searching for a particular legal service or that a city page will produce a matter. A dashboard review should therefore ask how location is represented in tracked keywords, landing pages, calls, forms and source attribution. Can your team separate a Waite Park target from a Stearns County target? Can a partner see whether a reported lead came through a page, campaign or search target intended for a different geography?
Recommended approach
Bring a written geographic scope to the consultation. Include Waite Park, Stearns County and any broader area your firm intentionally serves, but keep each label distinct. Ask Bosseo to show how city and county information would appear in the dashboard and what a firm should treat as unknown when a caller does not state a location. Do not use the Waite Park population estimate as a forecast.
