1. Define the market before you read the numbers
Your firm may serve Stillwater, other parts of Washington County, or a broader Minnesota market. Those are different geographic scopes and should not be blended in one attribution view. The Census identifies Stillwater city as a municipality in Washington County and records the population estimate above; it does not establish how many residents need counsel, which practice areas they seek, or how competitive search results are. Start by deciding which locations belong in your reporting and which inquiries are outside your service area. A Stillwater inquiry should not be treated as equivalent to a Washington County inquiry merely because both appear in the same report.
Recommended approach
Create a written geographic definition for reporting: Stillwater city, Washington County, any additional Minnesota communities your firm intentionally serves, and any excluded areas. Ask Bosseo to show how location is represented in a lead journey and how your team can distinguish a place of search, a contact’s location, and the service area you accept.
