1. Start with the geographic record, not an assumed market
St. Francis has a recorded relationship with both Anoka County and Isanti County. That matters when you review how your firm describes its service area, assigns inquiries and interprets location information. A St. Francis inquiry is not automatically an Anoka County-only inquiry, an Isanti County-only inquiry or proof that a person needs a particular legal service. The Census population estimate describes the municipality; it does not establish search demand, competition, case volume, revenue or language preference. Lead Attribution should therefore preserve the geographic information your firm actually collects instead of turning population into a marketing conclusion.
Recommended approach
Review whether your intake records distinguish the municipality named by an inquirer from the county, service area or location associated with the matter. Decide which geographic fields are useful for case qualification and which are merely descriptive. Then compare those fields with the recorded source journey, without treating any single location as proof of value.
