1. Define the geographic view before judging performance
A dashboard is only useful when its geography is clear. Oakdale is recorded as a municipality in Washington County. Your firm may also serve clients elsewhere in the county, throughout Minnesota or in other locations. Those are different reporting questions, and a single total can blur them. The dashboard page describes tracked service-and-city targets, city data, rankings and lead reporting by case type. During evaluation, ask how an Oakdale view would be distinguished from a Washington County view and from a broader Minnesota view. Do not treat the city’s population estimate as a forecast of demand or a target for expected leads.
Recommended approach
Bring a written geographic definition to the consultation: Oakdale city, Washington County, Minnesota, or another area your firm actually serves. Decide which geographic cuts belong in routine review and which should remain separate. The goal is not to make the population number perform as a marketing forecast; it is to prevent unlike areas from being combined when partners assess results.
