Start with the firm’s actual bottleneck
Custom software is most useful when a recurring process does not fit the firm’s existing tools. Bosseo’s public Custom Software page gives examples such as client status portals, intake tools and internal dashboards, and frames the work around a bottleneck described in plain English. That is a better starting point than selecting a feature list. Describe where information is re-entered, where a handoff waits for a person, or where staff answer the same operational question repeatedly. Do not assume that a custom build is automatically the answer. A good review may conclude that an existing product, a process change or a related Bosseo service is more suitable.
Recommended approach
Before booking, write one sentence beginning with “Someone at the firm has to do this manually.” Add who performs the task, what information is involved, where the work begins and ends, and what a better result would look like. Keep the first conversation focused on one bottleneck rather than a wish list.
