1. Define the geographic record before judging a channel
Austin city and Mower County are not interchangeable labels. A lead may identify with Austin, another Mower County community, or a broader service area. If those distinctions are blurred, a report can make a channel or page appear more productive than it is for the matters your firm actually accepts. The Census record identifies Austin as a municipality in Mower County and records a population estimate of 26,358 for the city in the 2020–2024 ACS 5-year data. It does not establish search demand, competition, legal need, lead volume or revenue.
Recommended approach
Before reviewing attribution, decide which geographic fields matter to your intake and reporting: Austin city, Mower County, or both. Keep those fields separate from channel, landing page and case outcome. Ask Bosseo to show how a journey is identified geographically and how your firm can review inquiries that fall outside its intended service area.
